This is a 12-month maternity contract role initially.Role & Responsibilities:Manage and coordinate aspects of haemodialysis service, including monthly bloods, analysis, and prescription specific to Anaemia and Renal Mineral Bone Disease management.Transplant work-up and follow-up.Hepatitis B Vaccination programme: prescribing vaccination, monitoring annual titres, prescribing boosters, and monitoring non-responders.Compile and report audit data for the AIS.Plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs through audit.Nurse prescribing as per Collaborative Practice Agreement.Take responsibility for nursing issues and interventions related to the post, monitoring bloods and transplant evaluations, working autonomously with a designated patient workload.Clinical Focus:Manage patient care using evidence-based practice and care planning.Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of bloods, transplant work-up, hepatitis B vaccinations, and monitoring for haemodialysis patients.Provide information and advice to patients on haemodialysis, including supporting literature and networks.Involved in infection control and health promotion.Manage defined areas in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.Initiate transplant work-up and liaise with medical team for transplant pool placement.Provide professional and clinical leadership.Attend renal transplant multidisciplinary team meetings.Support a safe environment for patients and staff.Maintain clinical skills in haemodialysis.Professional:Maintain client-centered activity.Practice within relevant frameworks and legislation.Engage in autonomous decision-making within protocols.Manage the service efficiently and effectively.Exercise initiative and diplomacy in client care issues.Skills & Experience Requirements:Degree-level qualification in Nursing, registered with NMBI.Postgraduate Diploma in Renal Nursing.Strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Strong administrative and IT skills.Eligibility to work in Ireland.Core Competencies:Striving for ExcellenceCommitment to CollaborationDelivering Best in Class SolutionsFor full job specifications and application details, please contact Linda at 01 or email.
