Tyndall National Institute invites applications for the Quality Systems Administrator role, a key position supporting the institute's ISO9001 and ISO17025 accredited Quality Management Systems.

About the Team
The Quality Team ensures internal processes align with ISO standards, strategic goals, and high‑quality research delivery. The team promotes continuous improvement, best practices in data management, and innovative communication methods across the institute.
About the Role
The Quality Administrator reports to the Quality Systems Controller and provides administrative support for the Quality Group's certified Management Systems.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Manage day‑to‑day administration for the Quality Group.
* Operate the QMS and document control system, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 changes.
* Encourage research and operational teams to apply ISO 9001 and ISO17025 policies.
* Prepare QMS, CAPA, and KPI reports for management reviews.
* Support QMS development and promotion across divisions.
* Resolve routine staff and customer queries efficiently.
* Coordinate internal and external audit schedules and liaise with auditing bodies.
* Deliver QMS inductions and targeted training in line with HR training plans.
* Participate in education and public engagement activities as required.
* Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and regulatory standards.
* Develop new operational processes to drive ISO‑aligned efficiencies.
* Perform additional duties within the general scope of the post.
Essential Criteria
* At least 3 years of experience in Quality Coordination or Document Control in a regulated environment.
* Professional, discreet, and efficient approach.
* Digital proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PowerBI).
* Knowledge of electronic QMS tools such as QT9 Software.
* Self‑motivated, solution‑oriented, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements.
Desirable Criteria
* Understanding of additional ISO standards (e.g., ISO17025, ISO50001, ISO14001).
* Experience in reporting and data analysis.
* Experience in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement approaches.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proactive, collaborative approach with capacity to manage multiple tasks.

Terms of Employment
Contract: Fixed term / Full‑time. Fixed annual salary €39,827 – €55,116 (public sector pay policy).
