**Volunteer Opportunity**

Highfield Healthcare is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Support Volunteers. This rewarding role allows you to make a significant difference in the lives of our residents and patients, promoting their emotional well-being and daily quality of life.

The primary focus of this position is to provide companionship and social engagement, helping to combat loneliness and isolation. You will spend one-to-one time with residents or patients, engaging in friendly conversation, listening support, and emotional comfort. This may involve sharing news, stories, or simply being present with those who are isolated or experiencing loneliness.

In addition to companionship, you will assist activity coordinators in planning and delivering recreational and therapeutic activities such as bingo, arts and crafts, gardening, storytelling, music sessions, gentle exercise, and sensory activities. You may also help with setting up and tidying up spaces before and after sessions.

Supporting patients and residents during group outings within the community or within the facility grounds is another key aspect of this role. You will ensure safety, comfort, and companionship for all involved, creating a positive experience for everyone.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Companionship and Social Engagement: Provide one-to-one support and engage in meaningful conversations with residents or patients.
* Activity Support: Assist activity coordinators in planning and delivering activities that promote cognitive engagement, physical activity, and emotional satisfaction.
* Assisting with Outings: Support patients and residents during group outings, ensuring safety and comfort.
