Stores Operator – Bracken Court Hotel
Store's Operator Opportunity at the 4* Bracken Court Hotel, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. The hotel is recruiting a Stores Operator to join its professional and highly skilled in-house team. The Role: We currently have a full-time position available. The role requires flexibility in roster availability and must be available to work weekends and public holidays. To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Stores/Goods Inwards area and preparation and set up of meeting and event spaces within the hotel, delivering a personalised and dedicated service to all guests on the day of their event.
Main Duties:
* Preparing conference rooms, meeting spaces and event areas, arranging furniture, equipment and materials in the required layout.
* Ensuring that all deliveries are accepted, checked in and stocked away as per company procedure.
* Monitor all bin and laundry collections.
* Provide courteous and professional service at all times.
* Handle any last minute requests or changes with a positive attitude and a focus on customer satisfaction.
* Communicate effectively with all heads of department (HODs) and Duty Managers.
* Provide on-the-spot support during events, including adjusting room set ups, troubleshooting AV issues, and responding to client requests.
* Monitor the inventory of conference materials (e.g., flip charts, markers, and other supplies) and notify managers when stocks are running low.
* Maintain and upkeep of the department, including cleanliness of all stores, public areas, stairways and meeting spaces.
* Keep store rooms orderly in line with health and safety policies and to protect equipment stored safely and securely.
* Report maintenance or health and safety issues promptly and take immediate action to make safe for staff and customers.
* Assist in all areas of the hotel when needed and carry out other reasonable duties in other departments when business levels are lower.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
* Must be fluent in English (written and spoken).
* Enthusiastic and a quick learner.
* Ability to multi-task and be willing to help out in all areas of the hotel.
* Excellent customer care skills and communications.
* Excellent people skills and the ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
* Must be available for early starts and late finishes.
