Job Overview:
My client has an immediate opening for an experienced Piping Supervisor to lead the on-site execution of their large-scale industrial projects
Strong Plumbing & Commercial background
The successful candidate will possess a strong mechanical engineering background and a proven track record of supervising complex piping system installations, while driving a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency on site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate the installation, fabrication, and maintenance of piping systems on-site.
* Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to plan and execute piping work.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company procedures.
* Manage daily site activities, including scheduling crews, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress.
* Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery.
* Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and resolve any technical or operational issues.
* Oversee procurement and delivery of materials, tools, and equipment.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed, personnel, and materials used.
* Provide training, guidance, and support to site personnel.
* Coordinate with other trades and disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
Requirements:
* Education:
Level 6 advanced Certificate or related discipline.
* Experience:
Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role within piping installation, preferably in commercial industry.
* Technical Skills:
* Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, and installation techniques.
* Strong Plumbing & Commercial background
* Familiarity with industrial piping applications.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Proficiency in site coordination and project management tools.
* Certifications:
* Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Working at heights, abrasive wheels are mandatory and other relevant site safety certifications.
* Additional qualifications in welding, pipefitting, or mechanical systems are a plus.
* Soft Skills:
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
