Stelfox is partnering with a leading organisation in Dublin to hire a Senior Cyber Security Engineer (Cloud) for a 12-month contract (with strong extension potential).
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on modern, large-scale cloud environments, securing critical platforms across a high-performing, collaborative security team.
Location: Dublin (Hybrid – 1 day onsite/week)
Contract: 12 month initial contract term with a view to extension. Long-term / rolling contract.
You will play a hands‑on role in securing cloud-native and Kubernetes environments, working closely with Cloud, DevOps, and Security teams to embed security into every stage of the delivery lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Build and embed Security-as-Code / Policy-as-Code using Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation
Secure Kubernetes environments (AKS, EKS, GKE) end‑to‑end, including runtime and policy enforcement
Design and implement secure cloud architectures across modern environments (Zero Trust, least privilege)
Protect multi‑cloud platforms using leading security tools (CSPM, CNAPP, CWPP)
Integrate cloud telemetry into SIEM/SOAR to improve threat detection and response
Strengthen IAM, network security (WAF/VPC), and encryption controls
Partner with engineering teams to shift security left and enable secure DevOps practices
Contribute to incident response, threat detection, and continuous security improvement
Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience working on at least one major public cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Proven background in Cloud Security and Kubernetes Security
Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation (Terraform, scripting – Python/Bash/Go)
Solid understanding of IAM, network security, and cloud‑native security controls
Experience working with security frameworks and standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks)
Exposure to DevSecOps practices and secure application delivery
Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work in cross‑functional teams
Nice to have: CISSP, CKS, or cloud security certifications
