Bookkeeper
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a well-established accounting practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping for a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely manner, ensuring full compliance with regulations.
* Process payroll for multiple clients, including payslip preparation, managing deductions, and ensuring tax obligations are met.
* Assist in preparing management accounts, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
* Reconcile bank accounts and maintain clear financial records.
* Ensure all documentation is properly organised for audits and compliance purposes.
Requirements:
* At least 3 years' experience in bookkeeping, with strong knowledge of VAT and payroll processes.
* Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage, alongside strong Microsoft Excel skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* A proactive and client-focused approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
