Job Title: Production Manager Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) Location: Limerick Reports To: Managing Director Role Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their modular construction production facility/factory. The Production Manager will lead a team of supervisors and operators responsible for manufacturing high-quality 3D Volumetric building modules while working closely with our Health & Safety, Design, Procurement, Quality and Project Management departments. This role demands a hands-on leader who can maintain high safety standards, drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement to ensure the consistent production of high-quality buildings for our Customers, in line with project timelines and budgets. Key Responsibilities: Production Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of the modular construction production facility Plan and oversee the efficient use of production resources (labour, equipment and materials) to maximize productivity while minimizing waste Coordinate with the design, procurement and quality teams to consistently align production outputs with project specifications and quality standards. Develop and implement production schedules as part of the overall project planning function. Team Leadership: Lead, supervise, and develop a diverse team of supervision and production staff, ensuring clear communication and efficient workflows. Foster a collaborative, positive and customer focused work environment, encouraging innovation, continuous improvement, and adherence to safety protocols. Conduct regular training, upskilling and reviews to build a high-performance production team. Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Management: Regularly assess risks and hazards in the production facility to maintain a safe and healthy environment for staff, visitors and customers. Work closely with the quality department to monitor and document the quality standards of the production process. Reporting, Documentation & Communication: Ensure accurate production records are maintained and Key Performance Indicators of production inputs and outputs are tracked. Prepare regular performance reports for senior management, outlining production metrics, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external customers. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management or a related field (preferred). Proven experience (5+ years) in production management or operations in a manufacturing or construction-related environment. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes. Familiarity with health and safety regulations, quality control processes, and compliance standards in the construction industry.
