The IRFU are inviting applications for the role of Ticketing Business Partner.

The successful candidate will support IRFU's ticketing function by ensuring rigorous financial controls and backend processes are consistently applied, while monitoring revenue performance and providing actionable financial insights.

The position is being offered on a full time, permanent basis. The role will be based at our Head Office, 10-12 Lansdowne Road, Dublin 4.

The IRFU is seeking a Ticketing Business Partner to support its Ticketing function. The role will focus on ensuring robust financial controls and processes are applied across all ticketing operations, while monitoring and analysing revenue performance to support commercial decision-making.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Ticketing to safeguard financial integrity, optimise income streams, and enable efficient, data-driven operational delivery across major Irish rugby events, including Women's, AIL, EPCR, Lions, U20s, and Rugby World Cup fixtures, both home and away.

The function is underpinned by dedicated ticketing management software – Archtics, a Ticketmaster system.

The ticket function is broadly split across 2 key workstreams - retail / matchday ticketing and Patrons schemes.

Ticket sales for IRFU fixtures follow an established sales funnel –branches \ clubs, visiting unions, sponsors, and public ticket sales (via )

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Ticketing Business Partner will be responsible for ensuring robust financial management across IRFU's Ticketing function, providing insight and analysis to support revenue optimisation and operational decision-making.

This role will oversee the accurate tracking of ticket sales from customer order through to bank receipts and debtor recognition, monitor financial performance across all key fixtures, and ensure compliance with established financial processes.

The chosen candidate will be expected to demonstrate a proactive desire to develop professionally and expand responsibilities as the role evolves.

* Ensure end-to-end financial oversight of the ticketing function, including accurate tracking of ticket sales, bank receipts, and debtor recognition across all fixtures.
* Support the Head of Ticketing in monitoring revenue performance, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to inform strategic decisions.
* Tracking ticket payments made via EFT to Archtics
* Monitoring / chasing aged debtors
* Administering ticket distribution for away men's international fixtures
* Assisting Head of Ticketing with event and manifest set-up
* Assisting Head of Ticketing with staff management
* Proficient in all functionalities of Archtics.
* Develop and maintain real-time financial dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI to provide actionable insights to commercial and operational teams.
* Drive continuous contemporising and automation of ticketing finance processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and integration with the IRFU ERP system.
* Collaborate closely with Ticketing, Commercial, Marketing, Communications, and Finance teams to align financial reporting with broader organisational objectives of strong financial management and digital growth and engagement.
* Analyse ticketing data to support revenue optimisation, campaign effectiveness, fan engagement strategies, and audience segmentation.
* Ensure compliance with financial controls and procedures across all ticketing activities, safeguarding revenue and operational integrity.
* Provide expert financial advice and guidance to support decision-making for ticketing operations, fan engagement initiatives, pricing strategies, and commercial campaigns.

KEY QUALITIES

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

* Managing end-to-end financial processes, including revenue tracking, bank receipts, debtor recognition, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

* Proactively driving process improvement, automation, and integration of financial ticketing processes with wider systems, such as ERP.

* Developing dashboards and using analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) to deliver actionable insights that inform strategic and commercial decision-making.

* Analysing ticketing and fan engagement data to optimise revenue performance, forecasting, and campaign effectiveness.

* Building trust and maintaining strong working relationships with internal teams, external partners, and senior leadership.

* Leading cross-functional projects and fostering a culture of financial accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.

* Presenting complex financial insights clearly to senior stakeholders to influence decision-making and support commercial priorities.

* Demonstrating initiative and autonomy in identifying opportunities, solving problems, and driving projects forward without close supervision.

Desirable:

* Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a ticketing or live events environment

* Advanced proficiency in ticketing platforms (e.g., Ticketmaster, Archtics) and financial/ERP systems.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
* Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience in reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
* 5+ years of relevant finance experience, including exposure to commercial or ticketing operations.
