Overview
Department: Audit & Assurance.
This position offers exposure to aviation leasing, securitisation, and asset management, working with a diverse portfolio of domestic and international clients, including investment funds, SPVs, and aviation finance structures.
Main Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting stages.
Perform in-depth audit procedures, including risk assessments, control testing, and substantive audit work.
Supervise and mentor junior team members, reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback.
Develop a strong understanding of clients' businesses, particularly in aviation, structured finance, and asset management sectors.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Ensure all audit work is completed in compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and firm methodologies.
Contribute to the enhancement of audit processes and tools to drive efficiency and maintain high audit quality.
Stay up to date with developments in auditing standards, accounting frameworks (especially IFRS), and relevant sector regulations through continuous professional development.
Skills And Attributes (Qualifications)
A minimum of 3 years' experience in external audit, ideally within a professional services firm.
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
Strong technical knowledge with practical experience applying IFRS; knowledge of UK/Irish GAAP or US GAAP is a plus.
Demonstrated experience in managing audit engagements from planning to completion.
Exposure to a diverse client portfolio; experience with aviation leasing, SPVs, funds, or financial services clients is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Ambitious, proactive, and committed to a long-term career in practice.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and build rapport with clients.
