Role Overview

The Accounting Assistant supports daily accounting operations by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with routine financial reporting. This role works closely with accounting and finance teams to ensure timely, organized, and compliant financial data. It is well suited for detail-oriented individuals who are interested in building a solid foundation in accounting and financial administration.

Key Responsibilities


• Assist with recording financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and expenses.


• Maintain and update accounting records, spreadsheets, and financial databases.


• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.


• Assist with bank reconciliations and basic ledger maintenance.


• Prepare supporting documentation for audits and internal reviews.


• Help compile financial reports and summaries as requested.


• Organize and file accounting documents in accordance with record-keeping standards.


• Identify discrepancies or errors and report them promptly.


• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.


• Follow accounting procedures and maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Qualifications and Requirements


• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.


• Proficiency with spreadsheets and office productivity tools; accounting software familiarity is a plus.


• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.


• Good organizational and time-management skills.


• Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives.


• Clear written and verbal communication skills.


• High level of integrity and professionalism.


• Willingness to learn and adapt to new accounting systems or procedures.


• Previous experience in accounting support or administrative roles is beneficial but not required.
