Principal Cloud Solution Architect – OCI Multicloud
Remote (Ireland, valid work permit required)
We are hiring a
Principal Cloud Solution Architect
to work with large enterprise customers on
OCI Multicloud
solutions.
This is a
very senior, hands-on role
. You will design, review, and troubleshoot real customer architectures across
cloud platforms, Oracle Databases (including Exadata), networking, and automation
. You will work directly with customers, sales, and engineering teams to help customers adopt OCI and multicloud solutions in production.
This role is for someone who has already designed and delivered complex cloud or database systems at scale and is comfortable discussing both technical details and architectural decisions with senior stakeholders.
What you will do
* Work directly with enterprise customers to design, review, and troubleshoot
OCI Multicloud architectures
* Support customer migrations and modernizations involving
Oracle Databases, Exadata, applications, infrastructure, and networking
* Act as a technical authority for customers, account teams, and internal stakeholders
* Collaborate with
sales and product teams
during customer engagements to ensure technically sound solutions
* Explain architectural trade-offs and design decisions clearly to
engineers, architects, and executive stakeholders
* Identify recurring customer problems and help create
repeatable solutions and adoption patterns
* Support key customer wins and help scale those solutions across similar customers
* Stay current on cloud and database technologies relevant to OCI Multicloud
* Share knowledge and help enable other architects and engineers when needed
What we are looking for
* Senior / Principal-level experience as a
Cloud Architect or Solution Architect
in enterprise environments
* Hands-on experience with at least two cloud platforms
(OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP)
* OR
* Strong experience with
one major cloud platform
(OCI / AWS / Azure / GCP) combined with
solid Oracle Database experience
, including
Exadata
* Proven experience designing and supporting
production cloud and database systems
* Good understanding of
cloud networking, security, automation, and infrastructure as code
* Ability to work directly with customers and explain technical topics without oversimplifying
* Experience working with
large, complex enterprise customers
* Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with multiple stakeholders
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
* 10+ years
of relevant experience in cloud, database, or enterprise infrastructure roles
* Experience with
OCI and/or AWS
in real customer environments
* Cloud or database certifications (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plus, not a requirement
