The role requires a technically qualified background with previous experience in a management role, focusing on delivering high-standard maintenance for GMP and non-GMP systems, including HVAC, BMS, electrical systems and cleanroom environments. Responsibilities Ensure all maintenance, repair and engineering activities meet strict FDA requirements, adhering to SOPs and environmental, health and safety regulations. Own the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) programme, targeting 100% on-time completion and managing backlog within client-defined schedules to keep critical utilities operating optimally. Supervise internal maintenance technicians and oversee external contractors, ensuring quality, safety and performance standards are met. Develop, implement and optimise maintenance strategies using risk-based methodologies to improve system reliability. Manage change controls for equipment modifications and support Validation teams during facility, utility or equipment changes. Analyse and report on KPIs such as uptime and PPM compliance to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Carry out fault finding and repair of broken equipment; coordinate service engineers for external assistance when required. Maintain IT literacy in Microsoft suite and facilities-related applications. Attend site tier meetings and represent Apleona, taking a proactive approach to technical escalations. Qualifications & Experience 5 years of experience in a similar role. Certificate, Diploma or Senior trades qualification in Electrical / Mechanical / Automation. Strong organisational and methodical approach to work. Record of achieving and exceeding targets as a manager. Confident communicator with ability to present to clients in formal and informal settings. Experience with HVAC, compressors, heat pumps, pumps and motors desirable. Excellent people-management skills. Dynamic approach to continuous improvement. Customer-focus management style. Self-motivated, with ability to motivate, coach and mentor teams.
