About this role:
In this role you will be an integral part of the QA team, requiring a structured approach to ensure consistent and timely test delivery across new and existing features, staff and customer reported bugs, and customer specific simulated workflows. Our department mission transcends mere functionality; it is to elevate brand trust to unparalleled heights by releasing products of unmatched quality and resilience. We're not just fixing bugs or minimising downtime; we're crafting an uninterrupted, seamless experience that transforms our customers into loyal advocates.
Please be aware that the application process for this role includes a short practical component. During this segment, you will be tasked with evaluating a newly-developed feature for potential issues, allowing you to showcase your problem-solving and communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Main Responsibilities
* Work independently and with other members of QA and development teams to perform rigorous black-box testing on front-end, back-end, and API functionalities of the software.
* Acquire a deep understanding of the software's features and workings, to think critically about how changes and new features may affect existing functionalities (regression testing).
* Execute and update test cases that outline specific workflows for testing different features and modules.
* Act as a conduit between customer-facing teams and the development teams by investigating, verifying, and refining reported bugs. Maintain up-to-date bug reports that reflect the latest investigations and findings from comments and discussion
* Conduct customer-specific workflow testing to ensure that the latest codebase and new functionalities meet client requirements.
* Execute automated test scripts as part of the testing cycle and determine the appropriate scenarios where automated testing can provide value.
* Conduct systematic testing on various software modules and features to identify bugs, glitches, and areas for improvement.
* Proactively contribute ideas for enhancing QA testing methodologies to foster continuous improvement of quality standards within the team.
* Contribute to development of a quality assurance standard and refinement of company QA processes to elevate the quality of the product and business as a whole.
* Keep up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

* Experience: Experience is not essential;however, we look for candidates who demonstrate a strong technical aptitude, rapid learning capability, and exceptional performance in our QA test simulations.
* Strong Technical Acumen: Must have a robust technical background and the aptitude to quickly comprehend complex technical scenarios.
* Independent and Team Player: Ability to work autonomously for the majority of the time, while effectively collaborating within a team when required and to meet monthly merge deadlines
* Organisational Skills: Must be proficient in documenting and categorising discovered issues in the designated area of the task management system.
* Technical Translation: Capability to interpret technical jargon into layman's terms and vice versa for better understanding among teams.
* Customer-Centric Awareness: Should possess a keen understanding of how technical issues impact various customer segments in real-world scenarios.
* Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail with a relentless drive to uncover the underlying root cause of issues.
* Problem-Solving Expertise: Must have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to document and implement effective solutions.
* QA Knowledge progression: A good grasp of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes and drive to continuously improve
* Exceptional Communication: Strong digital and verbal communication skills are essential, especially when liaising with the development and broader product team. Fluency in written English is a requirement for this role.

Location and Hours of Work
This position is hybrid with a requirement to travel to the office a minimum of 2 times per month. The hours of work are 37.5 per week Monday to Friday.
This role can be based either in Ireland or the UK.
