The Role
As a Site Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting project delivery - ensuring works are set out accurately, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating site activities effectively.
Responsibilities
* Setting out the works and ensuring information is clearly communicated to foremen, operatives, and subcontractors.
* Reviewing drawings and specifications to guarantee accuracy and compliance.
* Conducting quality reviews on site, particularly regarding rebar and concrete placement.
* Overseeing technical submissions and concrete testing.
* Preparing technical method statements and assisting with traffic management on a busy site.
* Keeping accurate site diaries and records of daily activities.
* Promoting a safe working environment and adherence to HSE standards.
* Contributing to the ongoing improvement and efficiency of site operations.
About You
* Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar).
* Previous experience working as a Site Engineer or Setting Out Engineer.
* Background with a main contractor, subcontractor, or surveying firm is advantageous.
* Strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
* Experience managing traffic and logistics on complex or urban projects.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
