Link Personnel have a great opportunity for a Commodity Manager who is available immediately and wish to progress their experience within an Engineering environment.

* As a commodity manager, you should have an entrepreneurial mindset based on commercial knowledge and familiarity of commodity markets.
* You will be responsible for a defined direct material field, including the pooling and procurement of commodities, developing and implementing commodity strategies, interacting with suppliers and cross-functions to ensure the resilience & sustainability of our supply chain.
* You will drive the advancement of the supplier base to support the growing demand at our manufacturing locations.
* You are expected to perform end to end supplier risk management to ensure delivery, quality and cost targets are achieved today and, in the future.
* You will act as focal point between sourcing, manufacturing operations, quality & engineering and lead cross-functional projects.
* On an ongoing basis, you will interact with our commodity management and align on demand pooling, price negotiations and global commodity strategy.

* You are a good communicator and team player with the drive to implement changes.
* You can build strong and influential business relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Required for the success of this role
* BS/BA in related discipline QQI level 8
* Master’s degree or MBA is a plus
* Minimum of 8 years professional experience in related field, preferably in FDA controlled environment
* Expertise in commodities sourced for in-vitro diagnostic devices
* Willing to travel up to 20%
