The
Sales Development Manager
is to help achieve and contribute to the annual national sales and market share objectives set by the Company, by developing & motivating each individual dealership within the network to grow the brand.
The person appointed must be able to demonstrate sales development and business focus to drive forward the business in a competitive and highly challenging environment.
The role will involve mentoring and assisting Dealer Principals in helping to train sales personnel and initiate and drive sales promotions and new product training modules.
Our ideal candidate will have a demonstrable and proven track record of exceptional sales, business management & communication skills in the automotive industry. The successful candidate will be
analytical, with an ability to absorb and interpret data to draw strong conclusions and recommended actions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Achievement of budgeted sales targets and objectives – cars and LCVs.
• Achievement of agreed monthly, quarterly and annual market share objectives.
• Maintain positive relationship with Dealer Principals whilst motivating dealership sales staff through monthly visit schedule and regular communications.
• Drive sales and marketing actions to maximise registrations at dealer level.
• Support the National Sales Manager to implement LCV action plan with dealers.
• Ensure dealers meet new vehicle stock and demo levels and are presented to the highest standards.
• Strong Microsoft Excel experience with the ability to complete regular reports when required.
• Showroom POS to be kept up to date in line with current sales & marketing activities.
• Prepare weekly reports for management regarding dealer visit activities and follow-up actions.
• Assist in preparation of dealer and national events and attend as required.
• Review dealer understanding of all sales & marketing monthly communications on each visit.
• Develop strong working knowledge of Vehicle Tracking System to provide training to dealer network to order, progress and register vehicles.
• Assist dealers with tailored CRM campaigns.
• Manage sales incentives.
• Ongoing management and review of dealers' customer order portfolio, ensuring high CSI scores.
This position offers an excellent remuneration package, inclusive of a Company car, commensurate with experience.
