We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as an Traffic Engineer. As a key member of a small core team, you will be responsible for providing technical advice and services to support the client's requirements in connection with highway infrastructure operations and maintenance.

The successful candidate will have experience in contract administration and project management, ideally in the highway, transportation, or construction industries. They will be able to coordinate input from specialists, maintain knowledge on project status, and report internally.

Main Responsibilities
">
">
* Coordinate input from specialists from internal project teams and external resources
">
* Maintain knowledge on project status and report internally
">
* Support the Commission Manager in managing contracts, including progress reporting, milestones, and interim valuations
">
* Draft and/or review communications and correspondence to contractors
">
* Assist with engaging and coordinating input from specialists from internal project teams and external resources
">
* Review submissions by Contractor for compliance with Task Orders and Contractual requirements
">
">
Qualifications and Experience
">
The ideal candidate will have a level eight qualification recognized by the National Framework of Qualifications/Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), or other equivalent qualification in civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical/electronic engineering. They must have at least 5 years post-graduate experience working with infrastructural projects.

* Experience in managing resources to deliver work on time and to agreed budgets

* Ability to prioritize, achieve deadlines, and work with minimal supervision

* Liaise with others, including public sector officials, members of the public, and senior colleagues
">
* Good understanding of project or programme management, ideally in a multidisciplinary environment
">
* Familiarity with Microsoft platform and applications, particularly Project, Excel, and Word
">
* Experience in working on infrastructure O & M schemes, Intelligent Transport Systems, and PPP contracts
">
">
Desirable Skills
">
">
* Familiarity with operation and maintenance (O & M) of highway infrastructure or similar sector
">
* Knowledge of current national, regional, and local guidance/standards with regards to fields of highway engineering
">
* Comfortable in a Matrix management environment as part of an integrated team delivering the project's objectives
">
* Experience in managing multidisciplinary highway projects
