Contract: Full-time, permanent About the Role As part of a dynamic and experienced team, you'll perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of heavy vehicles to ensure they meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability. Working Hours & Shift Patterns We offer a flexible working environment to suit both operational needs and employee preferences. Usual shifts are Monday-Friday, 8:00-16:00 Some teams operate night shifts or weekend rotations (eligible for the 20% shift allowance) One location features a 4 days on / 3 days off roster with 10-hour intensive shifts Overall, it's a 39-hour working week, but shift patterns vary depending on location and business requirements Overtime may be available beyond 39 hours, paid at 1.5x on Saturdays and 2x on Sundays This flexibility provides excellent opportunities for work-life balance and variety in your schedule. What You'll Do Conduct routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs across the fleet Identify and resolve technical issues efficiently Ensure all work meets strict safety and quality standards Maintain accurate service and defect documentation Mentor apprentices and promote best practices in the workshop Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development What We're Looking For ? Essential: QQI Level 6 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or Construction Plant Fitting (or equivalent) Proven hands-on experience in a heavy vehicle maintenance environment Excellent diagnostic, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills Strong focus on safety, teamwork, and communication Ability to work independently and meet deadlines ? Desirable (Not Essential): Category D (Bus) Licence - an advantage but not a requirement Willingness to obtain a D licence after joining (the company provides full driver training and test support; candidates must obtain their own provisional D licence) No CPC or tachograph card required (vehicles will not carry passengers) Additional certifications such as Manual Handling, Air Conditioning, or Working at Heights are a plus Why Join?
