About the Role
We are seeking a
Test Technician
to join our Test Engineering team, providing first-line technical support for automated test equipment (ATE) across production operations. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring reliable equipment performance, quick fault resolution, and continuous improvement within a high-quality manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide on-the-floor technical support to production teams.
* Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic faults on ATE systems.
* Maintain and service all test equipment to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
* Assist with the installation, setup, and commissioning of new test systems.
* Support the calibration of test and measurement equipment as required.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and proactively address recurring issues.
* Ensure high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in all tasks.
About You
* Qualification or demonstrable experience in electronics and/or electrical systems.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
* Skilled in the use of hand and power tools; workshop machining experience is an advantage.
* Comfortable performing light manual tasks when required.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
* Excellent communication and teamworking abilities.
* Computer literate with a good understanding of technical documentation and reporting.
* Positive, proactive, and quality-focused attitude.
