Role Overview Killary Adventure Centre is a busy, diverse and dynamic adventure centre in the West of Ireland, situated in Leenane, Co Galway. This role provides operational support with the daily management of hospitality staff in our busy dining room and kitchen, ensuring high standards of service, staff performance, cleanliness, and customer service in Staff Supervisors absence. Key Duties & Responsibilities Staff Supervision Supervise all staff working in the dining room and kitchen. Monitor staff uniform, presentation, and customer service standards. Allocate general duties, ensure punctuality, and ensure adherence to daily staff briefs. Organise staff breaks. Training & Performance Management Train staff in meal service procedures for all types of groups. Ensure staff follow established systems and maintain consistent service standards. Provide corrective guidance to staff when needed. Maintain teamwork, efficiency, and service flow. Dining Room Operations Oversee the set-up of the dining room before each meal service. Adhering to specific groups requirements. Assign staff to certain groups, ensuring clients needs are met. Greet customers and maintain professional behaviour. Inform management of any issues that arise in a timely and professional manner. Ensuring hygiene requirements and necessary checklists are maintained and completed day to day. Liaising with Management Continuous open communication with Management and other departments to ensure a maximum customer satisfaction. Person Specification The ideal candidate must have the following attributes: Proven experience in hospitality, preferably in a supervisory role. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable interacting with diverse client groups (youths, adults, teachers, corporate clients). Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Ability to work as a team and get on well with co-workers. Proactive approach to problem-solving and guest service.
