Communication, Research and PR Executive (3-year contract)

€45-50k depending on experience
This highly respected membership organisation with national reach are seeking a strategic, creative, and driven Communications, Research & PR Executive to lead all aspects of their communications output.
A pivotal role that sits at the heart of a small, agile team, working across multiple channels to amplify the organisation’s voice, engage members, and communicate with stakeholders. You’ll be responsible for shaping the communications strategy, enhancing media presence, producing key publications, driving social media growth, and contributing to policy research.

Key Responsibilities:
Media & PR
* Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts
* Draft all press releases and official statements
* Act as the first point of contact for media enquiries
* Monitor media coverage and provide regular performance reports
Publications & Content
* Lead on the production of high-quality publications including annual reports & policy briefs
* Manage the editorial process through to layout and delivery
* Ensure all content aligns with brand tone, voice, and accuracy standards
Social & Digital Media
* Manage and grow the organisation’s presence across LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, and emerging platforms.
* Develop engaging multimedia content to highlight events, policy positions, and member achievements.
* Track engagement metrics and adjust strategy to maximise impact.
Internal & Member Communications
* Draft regular newsletters, e-bulletins, and internal announcements.
* Collaborate with internal teams to communicate initiatives and campaigns.
* Ensure inclusive, accessible, and member-focused messaging throughout.
Policy Research & Support
* Conduct research and compile briefings to inform internal policy work.
* Monitor and summarise policy updates and circulars.
Executive & Event Support
* Support speechwriting, briefing creation, and presentation development for senior leadership.
* Assist in the planning and delivery of key meetings, events, and campaigns.
* Maintain organised archives of internal communications and key outputs.
* Degree in Communications, PR or related field.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role — ideally in a membership body, NGO, or policy-focused organisation.
* Excellent writing, editing, and content production skills.
* Strong grasp of social media strategy and tools.
* Proficiency with CMS, email marketing tools (e.g. Mailchimp), and analytics platforms.
* Highly organised with an eye for detail
We’re looking for a confident communicator who brings both strategic insight and hands-on delivery. You’ll be comfortable liaising with senior stakeholders, juggling multiple deadlines, and shaping messages that resonate with members.
