Overview
The AWS Infrastructure organization is looking for a results‑oriented, BI focused, capacity planning leader in our Dublin offices. The role owns the supply plan for data center power and space, models and improves utilization of power, cooling and space infrastructure to deliver capacity at lowest cost while meeting customer forecasts.
Responsibilities
Work closely with demand planning, finance, construction, software development, and global program management to deliver robust capacity planning processes.
Identify defects or waste in planning processes and drive new process and automation steps to eliminate them.
Manage large, complex projects: break them into manageable pieces.
Communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross‑functional and remote teams.
Lead end‑to‑end program delivery of process improvement projects and data modelling exercises.
Support continuous process improvement through workflow updates, documenting lessons learned, and sharing knowledge across teams.
Report regularly to senior leadership on status of key project metrics versus commitment.
Design and maintain BI dashboards for data center capacity planning and utilization.
Develop predictive models for power, cooling and space using QuickSight or Tableau.
Create automated reporting systems for capacity versus demand analysis.
Lead cross‑functional data initiatives spanning infrastructure planning and business intelligence.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Experience as a business analyst, data analyst, or in a statistical analysis role.
Knowledge of data visualization tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI or other BI packages.
Experience working in data centers or critical infrastructure.
Experience conducting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translating results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience analyzing data and creating reports for leadership.
Experience in business intelligence and analytics.
Data center or cloud infrastructure experience.
Advanced analytics or machine learning capabilities.
