DHL, an award-winning leader in the supply chain industry, is looking for a Transport Clerk (Night Shift) to play a crucial role in supporting transport operations on our Ballymun site. Reporting to the Assistant Transport Manager (ATM), the role involves overseeing the dispatch and loading process while ensuring efficiency and compliance. Additionally, the Transport Clerk will be responsible for managing a range of administrative tasks, contributing to the smooth running of daily transport functions.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will
* Ensure all paperwork loaded onto DCTS is done accurately and dispatched to the correct driver
* Actively work as part of the site management team to achieve GREEN performance as a minimum; assist the driver controller in providing the root cause when the target is not reached
* Ensuring the defect log is updated accurately
* To ensure our backhaul records match those of the primary daily
* Ensuring all relevant spreadsheets are completed in a timely and accurate manner
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
* A minimum of 4 months of hands-on experience in a similar role is essential
* Basic IT proficiency
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively
* Ability to work in a pressurized environment
