About the Role
We are seeking a
Mid-Level Android Developer
to join our growing mobile engineering team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications used by thousands of customers daily. This role is suited to a proactive developer who is passionate about mobile technology, stays up to date with emerging tools, and is comfortable working in a collaborative and remote-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain, and enhance Android applications using
Kotlin
and
Java
.
* Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality features.
* Ensure app performance, responsiveness, and security across different Android devices and OS versions.
* Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for faster, more reliable releases.
* Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following modern design patterns (MVVM, MVI).
* Monitor and improve app performance using tools like Firebase Crashlytics and Android Vitals.
* Stay current with the latest Android development trends, frameworks, and libraries.
Essential Skills & Experience
* 3+ years of professional Android development experience.
* Strong proficiency in
Kotlin
and solid knowledge of
Java
.
* Experience with
Android Jetpack components
(LiveData, ViewModel, Room, Navigation, WorkManager).
* Hands-on experience with
RESTful APIs
,
GraphQL
, and
Retrofit/OkHttp
.
* Knowledge of
Material Design guidelines
and responsive UI/UX development.
* Experience with
Git
and version control best practices.
* Understanding of
unit testing
* Familiarity with
CI/CD tools
(GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Jenkins, or CircleCI).
Nice-to-Have (Emerging Tech)
* Experience with
Jetpack Compose
for modern UI development.
* Familiarity with
Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM)
or
Flutter
.
* Exposure to
modularization
and
clean architecture
principles.
* Knowledge of
coroutines
and
Flow
for reactive programming.
* Experience with
dependency injection frameworks
