Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Dublin, Swords, Fingal)
Our Client, a leading Medical Device Engineering & Technology company in Dublin, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality engineering solutions for automated electro‑mechanical systems, contributing to product innovation and complex system integration.

Responsibilities
Design and development of high‑precision automated electro‑mechanical systems.
Integrate electromechanical sub‑assemblies into complex systems (fluidics, optics, sensing, electronics, software).
Use CAD and PLM tools to manage product lifecycle.
Deliver technical solutions that improve product reliability and process capability.
Apply LEAN/Six Sigma principles (DOE, DFSS, reliability testing).
Simulate using CFD, FEA, etc. to accelerate design maturity.
Apply GD&T and relevant standards.
Translate system requirements into functional specifications.
Consider manufacturing and supplier processes (moulding, machining, casting, coating).
Select materials based on properties for design decisions.
Provide technical support across the full engineering value chain.
Control systems engineering, motor tuning, PID control.
Ensure compliance with Machinery Directive, CE Marking and related safety standards.
Manage verification and validation activities.
Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience (other qualifications accepted if coupled with strong technical base).
