Location: Co Mayo / HybridPosted 5 days agoRoleAbbVie Westport has engaged FP&A Executive Search to manage the appointment of their Plant Controller (Site Finance Lead) for their manufacturing plant in Mayo – their largest and highest profile site globally.OverviewAs the primary finance expert for a diverse portfolio of four product lines, you will influence site strategy, business performance, governance and key decision‐making in a financially stable environment. You direct finances for a manufacturing operation of 1,500 people and partner closely with the Site Director and executive leadership.ResponsibilitiesSpearhead a team of 19 staff across Finance and Procurement, driving operational performance, productivity and cost optimisation.Lead FP&A activities: AOP, long‑range planning, monthly and quarterly forecasts, complex scenario planning and ROI insights.Oversee operations costs and inventory management: product and standard costing, stock valuations, KPI management (manufacturing costs, labour efficiency, scrap, yield, etc.), SOX and internal controls compliance, and R&D/NPI support.Manage site investments and capital projects: 50+ projects to support site and performance improvement initiatives.Coordinate financial reporting: lead audit activities and manage the relationship with the EMEA Financial SSC for the Westport site under US GAAP & IFRS standards.Collaborate with regional, global and corporate executives across 25 sites worldwide to ensure alignment on financial strategies, policies and reporting requirements.QualificationsAmbitious ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant with 15+ years post‑qualification experience in plant finance management.Experience managing complex budgets of €150m–€400m in regulated manufacturing sectors (e.g., life sciences, food).Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.BenefitsCompetitive base salary, bonus, long‑term incentives, 12% pension, full family healthcare and other benefits aligned with industry standards.ApplicationIf you meet the above requirements and wish to express interest, please contact us in confidence.
