DIAGNOSTIC AUDIOLOGIST REQUIREDAudiology Medical Services, one of Ireland's leading independent Audiology company's is looking to recruit an ambitious, confident and qualified Diagnostic Audiologist for their Cork and Kerry clinics.Duties for this role include (but not limited to):Selecting and completing a full range of appropriate routine diagnostic assessments in children and adults such as Otoscopy, Puretone, visual reinforcement testing, performance audiometry, otoacoustic emissions TEOAE and DPOAE, tympanometry, including multiple frequency tympanometry, speech audiometry and speech & noise testing.Selecting age-appropriate conditioning paradigm and age-appropriate reinforcement techniquesInterpreting client test results, explaining hearing loss to client & parent, deciding individual management plans in conjunction with client and discussing realistic expectationsTo undertake the provision prescription fitting, ear mould selection including type, tubing and venting requirements and management of hearing aids in adultsAdvising and completing reviews on hearing aid adaptation process and communication tacticsTo counsel patients and or parents, carers on matters relating to hearing aid and tinnitus managementTo organise onward referral, if necessary and to work as appropriate with other professionals including ENT Consultants, Visiting teachers of the deaf, Paediatricians, Psychologists and Speech and Language TherapistsEnsure that all procedures used in the service are adequately documented and that this documentation is kept up to dateActively participate and contribute to departmental audit and research projectsEnsure that equipment and facilities used for clinical testing are in good working order and calibrated at appropriate IntervalsCompleting industrial hearing tests as per HSA guidelines and completing full report for sameCompleting micro-suction; using a video otoscope to inspect ears and completing wax removal using the most appropriate method (further training will be provided, if necessary)Competitive salary and Standard working hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00.The ideal candidate must be:Passionate about delivering high standards of careGood communicatorExcellent Customer Care SkillsTeam player who will work with the company to achieve their full potentialPassionate for audiology and willingness to Continuing your Professional DevelopmentBe capable of running your own clinic, arriving on time, managing your diary and working with teamsHighly MotivatedEnthusiasticHave commercial understandingIT literate and able to handle the demands of working with modern technology, including fully integrated fitting and IT-based patient management systemsKey Skills and Qualifications for this role:Qualified AudiologistRegistered with the Irish Academy of Audiology (IAA) or be eligible to registerHold a full driving licence1-year experience with adult testing/fitting and paediatric testing is desirableTo ApplyIf you feel you have the skills and qualifications we are looking for, please send your CV to Job Type: Full-timePay: From €44,000.00 per yearBenefits:Bike to work schemeCompany eventsEmployee discountWork Location: In person
