We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Communications Manager to join our Communications team.
The Communications Manager will be involved in developing and executing various PR campaigns for Lidl across Ireland & Northern Ireland.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced retail environment with a passion for news and skill in landing key messages with external and internal stakeholders.
What you'll do
Full management of individual PR campaigns across consumer, corporate and CSR comms, from inception and development through to delivery of results and measurement and evaluation
Development of strategic PR plans to include internal and external stakeholder engagement and management of relationships
Full budget management of PR campaigns
Management of Corporate Affairs Coordinator including setting and managing workload and provision of ongoing development and training
Drafting, editing and issuing press materials and a wide range of written and digital communications
Conduct campaign reviews, analytics and demonstrate strong ROI per campaign
Liaising with key departments across the business; CSR, Property, Purchasing and Sponsorship to identify appropriate news angles with a view to generating positive press coverage for the business
Proactive engagement with key contacts in the media on a daily basis
Developing and maintaining an up-to-date contact database across all relevant media sectors
Managing multiple with PR agencies to deliver effective campaigns within timeframe and budget
Managing reports for Lidl Ireland and Northern Ireland and Lidl International
What you'll need
Minimum of 3 years' experience in the PR field is essential
Third-level degree is essential
An in-depth knowledge of the Irish media landscape and key contacts in both corporate and consumer media
People-person with a passion for news, storytelling and landing key messages with media and stakeholders
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently on projects and proven track record of landing strong consumer and corporate coverage, and consistently demonstrating initiative
Ability to thrive in fast-paced and dynamic business area managing multiple projects and stakeholders
Strong interest in retail supermarket industry
Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise and multi-task
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation
Full driving licence is essential

We offer a competitive and transparent salary system, that ensures pay equality across all positions at Lidl
€51,000 rising to €65,000 after 3 years
