Job Title: Social Care Worker
Location: Dublin
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: €36,945 - €52,720 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Overview:
A respected disability service provider based in Dublin is seeking a motivated and dedicated Social Care Worker to join its residential team. The successful candidate will work within a person-centred model of care that promotes independence, inclusion, and empowerment for adults with intellectual disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide day-to-day support to individuals in accordance with person-centred plans
2. Act as a Key Worker, taking the lead in planning, reviewing, and delivering tailored supports
3. Support service users in all aspects of daily living including personal care, community access, emotional wellbeing, and behavioural support
4. Encourage social inclusion, hobbies, and participation in local activities
5. Administer medication and ensure all documentation is maintained in line with HIQA and organisational policies
6. Support the household in budgeting, food preparation, appointments, cleaning, and safety protocols
7. Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams
8. Promote a culture of dignity, respect, rights, and choice
9. Lead shifts when required and assist in the training and mentoring of new or junior staff
Essential Criteria:
10. Level 7 degree or higher in Social Care or an equivalent health/social care qualification
11. Minimum of one year's experience working with vulnerable adults or individuals with intellectual disabilities
12. Understanding of person-centred care, safeguarding protocols, and HIQA standards
13. Full, clean driving licence (required to drive service vehicles)
14. Strong interpersonal, communication, and report writing skills
15. Ability to work flexibly including evenings, weekends, and sleepover or waking night shifts
Desirable:
16. Training in Studio 3 or other low-arousal positive behaviour support approaches
17. Previous experience in not-for-profit or Section 38/39 funded services
18. Familiarity with New Directions, Personal Outcome Measures, or similar models of service delivery
19. Experience supporting people with complex needs or behaviours of concern
