Barden are delighted to be working with a growing legal firm based in Dublin City Centre to help identify a Bookkeeper to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
The person will be responsible for managing the firm's financial records, trust accounting, and compliance with legal accounting standards. This role requires a strong understanding of legal bookkeeping practices, including handling trust accounts in accordance with relevant regulation.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
* Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping records for both office and client accounts.
* Manage client Client Account (Client Monies) in compliance with Law Society of Ireland Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
* Reconcile client and office bank accounts monthly.
* Monitor financial transactions, including lodgements, electronic transfers, and payments.
* Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, including VAT and tax returns.
* Process payroll.
* Prepare and submit VAT, P30, and other Revenue returns as required.
* Support the firm's accountants with year-end financial statements and audits.
* Assist with time recording, billing, and credit control in coordination with solicitors and support staff.
* Ensure compliance with all Revenue and Law Society financial requirements.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
* Circa 3+ years' experience in a similar bookkeeping role, ideally within a law firm in Ireland
* Proficiency with legal accounting software, specifically Keyhouse.
* Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and meet key reporting deadlines.
* Qualification in bookkeeping/accounting or membership of a professional body (e.g., IATI or ACCA) is a strong advantage.
