We are looking for a Junior Procurement & Contracts Specialist – Indirect to join our Procurement Team in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of activities to support the Procurement team in implementing supplier management processes under Intact Insurance Ireland’s Third Party Management Programme.
This role requires the use of strong analytical, organisational and communication skills to contribute to the realisation of all areas of the Procurement plans.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Indirect (IT, Marketing, Finance, etc.) procurement activities (RFPs, etc.) across the island of Ireland, ensuring alignment with various functions strategies and aligning with other entities within the Intact Group
Manage substantial addressable spend across Indirect and design projects for improved efficiency of spend
Negotiate and manage complex Indirect contracts, including legal agreements, in tandem with other members of Procurement Team
Maintain the Intact Insurance Ireland Contract Database and ensure all information is kept up to date to use for planning, etc.
Analysing and monitoring supplier performance data (compliance, spend, risk, SLAs, solvency)
Working with Indirect stakeholders in the business to support and monitor their supplier management activities
Ensuring key governance requirements regarding the supplier relationship are consistently met in a timely manner
Tracking market dynamics to understand/monitor commercial trends and awareness of industry innovation that be shared with the Indirect Team for possible adoption
Producing reports (trends, etc.) to support the governance and oversight of supplier management
Requirements
3+ years of procurement / buyer experience
Good working knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements in a financial services company e.g. Solvency II, CBI Outsourcing Guidelines, DORA, is desirable, but not essential
Previous work in an insurance company is desirable, but not essential
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
Advanced MS Excel and Power BI
Good working knowledge of procedures and compliance requirements in a corporate environment
Strong organisational skills and methodical approach to results’ delivery
