We are seeking a dedicated candidate Healthcare Assistant - HCA to join our team in providing personalized care and support to individuals living with dementia in our Nursing Home based in Co Carlow .
Permanent, Full-time Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, engaging in meaningful interactions and activities tailored to individual preferences and abilities Support residents in participating in recreational activities and therapeutic programs designed to promote social engagement Foster a safe and supportive environment for residents Participate in ongoing training and education initiatives to enhance knowledge and skills in dementia care and best practices Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with residents and their families Contribute to and enhance the quality of resident activities and events.
Carry out delegated tasks involving direct care and activities of daily living under supervision (e.g., washing, toileting, dressing, dining, social engagement, communication support, and general daily living needs).
Requirements QQI Level 5 Award - Healthcare or related qualification.
Excellent track record as a top-performing healthcare worker.
Excellent communication skills Excellent personal care skills.
