Overview
Abrivia are recruiting for an FNOL Claims Handler to join our client based in South Dublin. This is a permanent role reporting directly to the Claims Operations Manager.
The successful candidate will handle the day-to-day management of First Notification of Loss claims and play an important part in ensuring efficient and high-quality service to brokers, insurers, and customers.
Your Role
* Manage FNOL claims including notifications, post, processing, and phone calls.
* Ensure compliance with claims authority, company binders, and reporting requirements.
* Record all notifications, reserve amendments, and payments accurately within deadlines.
* Assist with month-end and quarterly reporting for insurers.
* Liaise with brokers, insurers, customers, and third parties to deliver excellent claims service.
* Appoint approved repairers, loss adjusters, engineers, medical, and legal experts as required.
* Support insurer audits and attend settlement negotiations where necessary.
* Contribute to departmental efficiency and best practice.
* Carry out additional duties as required by management.
Your Skills
* Minimum of 1 year FNOL claims handling experience.
* APA or grandfathered status (working towards CIP is desirable).
* Strong knowledge of underwriting principles, claims regulations, CPC, and motor legislation.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills.
* Ability to work independently with a structured, methodical approach.
* Flexible, proactive, and able to prioritise effectively.
* A strong team player with a customer-focused mindset.
