As we continue our journey toward becoming Ireland's most trusted and sustainable business, we have an exciting opportunity for a successful candidate to join our team as Corporate Development Analyst.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth of the company through M&A and strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will have 1-3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in Big Four transaction services / corporate finance, corporate development, or another strategy/M&A role.
What you`ll be doing:
* Support the evaluation and execution of M&A transactions, partnerships, and strategic investments.
* Conduct detailed financial analysis, valuation modelling, and due diligence.
* Prepare investment memoranda, board presentations, and business cases to support decision-making.
* Perform industry and market research to identify growth opportunities, competitive threats, and market trends.
* Collaborate with internal teams (finance, legal, operations, property) and external advisors on deal structuring and execution.
* Assist in developing and implementing corporate strategy, including long-term strategic planning and business transformation initiatives.
* Track and analyse post-transaction integration and deal performance metrics.
* Support senior management in stakeholder communications and investor relations as needed.
What we`er looking for:
* Be a qualified accountant with 1-3 years of PQE in a relevant field, such as:
* Big Four Transaction Services / Corporate Finance / Restructuring
* Corporate Development / In-house M&A
* Strategy Consulting / Investment Banking
* Strong financial modelling and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
* Experience with valuation techniques, financial due diligence, and transaction structuring.
* Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and corporate finance concepts.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information for senior stakeholders.
* Strong research capabilities and ability to interpret market/industry trends.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
