Head of Compliance & MLRO (PCF 12 & PCF 52) – Authorised EMI, DublinAbout the Role
Fast-growing European fintech seeks a dynamic compliance leader for its Dublin-based EMI. This senior PCF 12 (Compliance Officer) and PCF 52 (MLRO) position reports jointly to the local CEO and Board, with dotted line to global compliance head. Ideal for a proactive professional ready to build and lead compliance in a scaling payments business.
Key Accountabilities
* Oversee the full compliance programme, ensuring adherence to all applicable Irish and EU regulations for EMI operations.
* Manage AML/CTF framework: risk assessments, monitoring, investigations, SAR filing, and record-keeping for effective reporting.
* Maintain strong regulator relationships via timely CBI reporting, consultations, and inspection support.
* Drive regulatory change projects, adapting to product evolutions and new rules impacting the business.
* Serve as go-to advisor for European compliance matters, collaborating with global group leaders.
* Partner with product, design, engineering, and ops teams to deliver compliant solutions.
* Report regularly to Board on compliance status, risks, and AML/CTF metrics; support global COO as needed.
Experience Required
* Held relevant PCF roles (e.g., PCF 12/52) in Irish-regulated financial services or fintech.
* Strong grasp of EMI regs, AML laws, CBI expectations, and risk management in regulated entities.
* Track record building robust controls and collaborating across global, multicultural teams.
Person Profile
Self-starter with sharp business judgement, able to translate regs into practical solutions. Excellent communicator who thrives in fast-paced settings, juggling priorities while promoting self-sufficiency. Experience in Board governance and SEAR a plus; must meet CBI Fit & Proper standards.
