The Opportunity
An award-winning TV production company is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Finance Manager to join its dynamic and creative team based in Dublin 3.
This is a newly created role, offering a unique opportunity to establish and shape the finance function while supporting the continued growth of the business. Combining both operational and strategic responsibilities, the successful candidate will take ownership of the day‑to‑day finance activities while partnering closely with Directors and Production Teams to provide commercial insight, strengthen financial controls, and support business decision‑making.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking for flexibility, offering 24 hours per week, which can be worked across:
5 afternoons per week
Flexible start and finish times are also available.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day‑to‑day finance function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and month‑end processes.
Oversee production budgets, forecasting, cash flow management, and cost reporting.
Prepare management accounts and financial reports for internal stakeholders, broadcasters, and funding bodies.
Ensure compliance with Irish and UK tax, audit, and statutory reporting requirements.
Develop and improve finance processes, systems, and internal controls.
Partner closely with production and non‑finance teams to provide commercial and financial support across projects.
Qualifications
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Accounting Technician with relevant experience.
Minimum of 5 years’ finance experience, ideally within media, television production, film production, or a multi‑project environment.
Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations, including PAYE, IR35, VAT, and relevant accounting standards.
Experience using production accounting software such as Movie Magic, Moneypenny, or similar systems.
Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities within a fast‑paced environment.
Previous TV or film production finance experience.
Knowledge of Irish and UK tax credit systems and funding reports, including Screen Ireland, Section 481, and HMRC requirements.
Experience implementing finance systems and strengthening financial controls.
Commercially minded, proactive, and comfortable working in a hands‑on role within a small team.
