The successful candidate will be part of a small team assisting the Head of AML in delivering the AML strategy, leading best practice in the implementation of AML measures and ensuring the organisation meets its competent authority responsibilities relating to AML/CFT and Money Laundering.
Main duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate will carry out a variety of duties in line with the operational standards and strategic objectives of the Department, to include
1. Drafting material for and attendance at a variety of regulatory meetings
2. Drafting reports for cross sectional and inter-departmental information sharing
3. Drafting and submission of statutory reports to external bodies
4. Liaison with external stakeholders at national and international level
5. Management of data, analysis and reporting relating to AML compliance
6. Development of educational aids to promote best practice in AML/CFT
7. Speaking to promote information relating to the professions' AML/CFT obligations
8. Provision of AML guidance to the profession via the AML Helpline
Essential Skills
9. A third level qualification (ideally but not confined to) law, compliance, AML/ML, accounting or similar and/or experience working in a statutory body or as a solicitor.
10. Exceptional organisational skills and an ability to multitask in a high paced setting
11. Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams
12. An excellent command of written and spoken English
13. A record of success in working on complex matters
14. Proficiency in various IT systems, particularly database systems
15. Experience of stakeholder engagement
16. Discretion and corresponding ability to handle sensitive information with integrity
Desirable Skills
17. Professional qualification as a solicitor, accountant or other related profession
18. Experience of working in areas relating to Ireland's AML/CFT framework
19. Knowledge of EU law
