About theWe are seeking an experienced Oracle and SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our database environments.Experience in both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server is preferable but not essential.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, security, and reliability of enterprise database systems while supporting business-critical applications.Key ResponsibilitiesDatabase AdministrationInstall, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databasesPerform database provisioning, patching, and version upgradesManage database storage, capacity planning, and growth forecastingPerformance & AvailabilityMonitor database performance and proactively identify bottlenecksTune SQL queries, indexes, and database configurationsEnsure high availability using clustering, replication, Always On, RAC, Data Guard, etc.Implement and test disaster recovery and failover strategiesBackup, Recovery & SecurityDesign and maintain backup and recovery strategies (RMAN, native SQL Server tools)Perform database restores and recovery testingImplement database security, encryption, and access controlsEnsure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standardsSupport & OperationsProvide 2nd/3rd line support for database-related incidents and problemsWork closely with application teams, developers, and infrastructure teamsDocument database procedures, standards, and configurationsRequired Skills & ExperienceTechnical SkillsStrong hands-on experience with Oracle Database (12c/19c or later)Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022)Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and T-SQLExperience with backup/recovery tools (RMAN, SQL Server Maintenance Plans)Performance tuning and troubleshooting expertiseExperience with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systemsExperienceTypically around 5+ years' experience as a Database AdministratorExperience supporting production, mission-critical environmentsExperience with high availability and disaster recovery solutionsDesirable / Nice to HaveExadata on premise experienceOracle RAC, Data Guard experienceSQL Server Always On Availability GroupsAutomation and monitoring tools (OEM)Relevant certifications (Oracle OCP, Microsoft SQL certifications)Soft SkillsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and documentation abilitiesAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple prioritiesTeam-oriented with a proactive mindset
