As a founding member of the Irish Contract Cleaning Association (ICCA), we have grown significantly and now serve over 300 clients, employing over 300 full and part-time staff. Our services include power washing, graffiti removal, bio-hazard cleaning, floor and fire damage restoration, and window cleaning using an eco-friendly pure water system. Located in South Dublin, Moore Cleaning Services is dedicated to tailored solutions for each client's unique needs.Job Title:Director of Business Operations – Cleaning & Security ServicesReports to: Managing Director / CEODepartment: OperationsLocation: (Dublin)Job Type: Full-Time, PermanentRole Overview:The Director of Business Operations will oversee the strategic and day-to-day operational performance of the company’s cleaning and security service divisions. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring contract compliance, operational excellence, workforce management, client satisfaction, and business growth across both sectors. The role requires hands-on management of a mobile and site-based workforce, ensuring high service standards and efficient resource deployment.Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic & Operational LeadershipOversee and streamline operations across both cleaning and security divisions.Develop and implement operational strategies that align with business growth objectives.Monitor and improve service delivery, client satisfaction, and operational KPIs.2. Contract & Client ManagementEnsure all services are delivered in line with SLAs, KPIs, and industry compliance standards (e.g., PSA for security, health & safety for cleaning).Act as the senior escalation point for key clients, maintaining strong customer relationships.Oversee mobilisation of new contracts and ensure smooth transition and service continuity.3. Workforce ManagementLead and support a team of operations managers, supervisors, and mobile support staff.Oversee staff deployment, scheduling, time and attendance systems, and rostering efficiency.Support HR in recruitment, induction, training, and performance management of frontline staff.4. Compliance & Health & SafetyEnsure compliance with PSA licensing and security regulations.Enforce health and safety policies, risk assessments, and cleaning site audits.Stay updated with legislation and implement relevant operational updates.5. Financial OversightManage operational budgets, cost controls, and resource allocation.Drive profitability through efficient operations and proactive contract management.Work closely with finance on billing, cost tracking, and margin improvement.6. Technology & ReportingOversee the use and optimisation of operational systems (e.g., workforce management software, client portals).Provide regular operational reports to the executive team.Use data insights to inform decisions and drive efficiency improvements.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Facilities Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in a senior operations role within cleaning, security, or facilities services.Demonstrable experience managing large-scale contracts and mobile/frontline workforces.Strong knowledge of security industry standards and PSA compliance.Proven success in managing profit and loss, budgets, and contract margins.Skills & Competencies:Strong leadership, decision-making, and organisational skills.Excellent interpersonal and client-facing communication.Ability to manage multiple teams and competing deadlines.Deep understanding of workforce rostering, scheduling, and mobile team operations.Proficient in operational tools such as TemplaCMS, Ezitracker, Timegate, or similar.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Client satisfaction and contract retention ratesStaff attendance, turnover, and compliance with rostersMargin performance and budget adherenceNumber of audit issues or non-conformities per siteService delivery scores (cleaning standards/security incident response)
