Job Summary: The Bartenderis responsible fordelivering a refined, consistent, and engaging beverage service experience across the bar and lounge areas of The Grace Westport Estate.
Acting as a front-facing brand ambassador, this role combines technical beverage preparation with guest engagement, operational discipline, and adherence to service standards.
KeyResponsibilities Deliver courteous, professional, and personalised service to all guests at the bar and lounge.
Greet guests promptly, takeaccuratebeverage orders, and ensuretimelyand attentive service.
Engage with guests in a polished and professional manner to enhance their overall experience.
Anticipate guest needs and resolve requests or concerns efficiently.
Promote signature cocktails, premium spirits, and hotel offerings to support revenueobjectives.
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beveragesin accordance withapproved recipes,portioncontrols, and presentation standards.
Maintain consistency in quality, flavour, and visual presentation across all beverages.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of beverage menus, wine lists, and current promotions.
Ensure responsible alcohol service in line with licensing laws and hotel policies.
Complete bar setup and breakdown procedures before and after service.
Maintainappropriate stocklevels of beverages, garnishes, glassware, and operational supplies.
Support inventory management throughaccuratestock rotation, requisitioning, and wastage control.
Report breakages, shortages, or discrepancies to the Bar Supervisor or Manager.
Maintainhigh standardsof cleanliness across bar counters, equipment, storage areas, and back-of-house spaces.
Adhere to HACCP, hygiene, and local health and safety regulations.
Ensure safe handling of glassware, equipment, and chemicals.
Work collaboratively with front-of-house teams, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service flow.
Communicate guest preferences, special requests, and operational needs clearly and effectively.
Attend training sessions, briefings, and team meetings asrequired.
Support colleagues during peak service periods tomaintainservice standards.
Perform any ad-hoc duties as instructed by Management.

RequiredExperience&Skills Minimum 13 years experience as a Bartender, ideally within a 4- or 5-star hotel, upscale bar, or premium restaurant.
Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers.
Familiarity with POS systems and cash-handling procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong service orientation with high attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
Good numerical skills to support billing and inventory processes.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Eligibility to work in Ireland.
