Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, provision and operation of advanced telecommunications networks.Installation, configuration and commissioning of equipment across technologies including Microwave, IP Radio, LTE/3G, Satellite, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, Firewalls and VPNs.Provide Level 2 & Level 3 technical support for client networks.Troubleshoot performance issues, carry out risk assessments and plan changeovers.Preventative maintenance, network monitoring and issue resolution.Produce and maintain documentation, network diagrams and technical records.Work closely with project teams to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.RequirementsDegree in Telecommunications, IT, Computer Science, Electronics or related discipline.Minimum of 5 years' experience in telecommunications networking.Strong knowledge of Ethernet switches, routers, firewalls and OTA communication devices.Proven design and installation experience of resilient, high-availability networks.Familiarity with incident and change management systems.Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with customers, vendors and service providers.Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.Relevant certifications (CompTIA, CCNA or equivalent) desirable.Desired Skills and ExperienceWe are seeking a highly motivated Telecommunications Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering advanced communications and operational network solutions across Ireland.
