We have been instructed by an established firm, based in Dublin, that is looking to recruit Associates in Insurance Defence/Litigation with 2 to 5 years PQE. You will have a solid and proven track record in general defence work. You be completely familiar with all aspects of Defence Litigation from initial consultation through to settlement/ hearing in both personal injuries and/or professional indemnity. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work within a busy and ambitious team. The role presents significant opportunities for training, growth, and career development in a unique team. Particular experience required; Hardworking, run own caseload, with supervision as required, and files and moving cases along efficiently. Experience of acting for insurers, preferably undertaking general liability/personal injuries defence work. [willingness to take responsibility for a varied and challenging caseload, under supervision, including motor, EL/PL, defamation and product liability cases] Assisting senior staff members on more complex and/or high value cases. Provision of strong legal advice to clients, identifying areas of potential financial risk and providing expert/timely proactive guidance Experience in the full Insurance Defence process, investigations, risk assessments, organising medical reports, quantum, claims, motions, briefing counsel, attending settlement meetings, attending court etc. Commercial Litigation / Contractual Disputes. Play a proactive role in business development including writing articles, delivering presentations and facilitating seminars.
