Accounting Role
This position at a prominent accounting firm in Ireland involves assisting in the preparation of financial reports, journal entries, and accruals. The successful candidate will support budgeting processes, perform bank reconciliations, and maintain ledgers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare financial reports, including journal entries and accruals
* Support budgeting processes and contribute to forecasting initiatives
* Perform bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy
* Process VAT and PAYE returns, ensuring compliance with Irish tax regulations
* Assist with year-end audits and coordinate with external auditors
To excel in this role:
* Possess part-qualification in a recognised accounting body (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
* Hold at least 2 years of relevant experience in an accountancy practice
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting principles and Irish tax laws
* Be proficient in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or similar, along with advanced Excel skills
* Exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to work independently and collaboratively
