Catering Manager
Location: Clane, Co. Kildare

Salary: €50,000 per annum + Sodexo Benefits
Job Introduction: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Catering Manager to lead the catering operations at Clongowes Wood College, a prestigious 7-day‑per‑week boarding school. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a high‑profile contract, overseeing a dedicated team of 30 client staff, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional food and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the catering operation, ensuring consistent delivery of high‑quality food and customer service.
* Oversee all financial aspects of the contract, including budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
* Maintain safe and compliant working practices across all areas of operation.
* Recruit, train, motivate, and develop staff to deliver excellence and ensure strong team engagement.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and other stakeholders, ensuring service levels and KPIs are achieved.
* Drive performance improvement and seek opportunities for business growth within the contract.
* Represent Sodexo at client meetings and ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Support innovation and ensure food quality, presentation, and service standards align with Sodexo’s brand and values.
About You
* 2–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience, ideally in catering, hospitality, or contract management.
* Strong financial acumen and commercial awareness.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team‑building skills.
* Proven ability to manage teams effectively and deliver outstanding customer service.
* Relevant qualifications such as HND in Hospitality Management or a related field (vocational qualifications an advantage).
