A leading global reinsurance firm is seeking a talented
Senior Python Developer
to join their dynamic and collaborative technical team in Dublin.
Established over 25 years ago, the company is recognized for its innovative approach to managing complex risks and delivering solutions that protect clients and communities worldwide.
As part of this role, you'll work within the Portfolio & Capital domain, designing and building distributed Python systems in a cloud environment to support critical business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for users across the business.
Partner with stakeholders to establish requirements and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
Support applications through their lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, documentation, maintenance, and enhancement.
Ensure stability, integrity, and performance of existing systems.
Contribute to strategic architecture initiatives and act as a technical champion within the team.
Follow best practices in coding, CI/CD, and DevOps principles.
Collaborate with the team on database and functional requirements, and evaluate third-party solutions.
Maintain compliance with company standards and support technological advancement within the team.
Key Requirements:
Extensive experience in
Python
, with expertise in designing and developing end-to-end distributed systems.
Strong
SQL
skills.
Experience in cloud environments, preferably
AWS
, including Lambda, Fargate, Step Functions, or equivalent.
Familiarity with CI/CD practices and DevOps principles.
