Organisational Structure & Workforce Planning Consultant

A forward-thinking, strategic global Organisational Structure & Workforce Planning Consultant is sought to shape the workforce of tomorrow. This role will create the organisation structure and talent readiness for the future.

This initial 12-month consultancy role requires working 2-3 days per week. The successful appointee must be available to travel to site regularly, at least twice a month.

The focus will be on identifying future capability and competency requirements across key functions – including Commercial, Operations, R&D, Quality, and Digital. This role will ensure the organisation is equipped for sustainable success by developing leadership capability, strengthening commercial acumen, evolving operational excellence, or embedding digital skills.

The Position:

* Organisational Design: Build on recent assessments to define and implement future-fit design principles that support agility, clarity, and scalability.
* Strategic Workforce Planning: Identify future capability and competency needs across core functions – including Commercial, Operations, Quality, and Technology – and build clear workforce plans to meet them.
* Capability Building: Define and prioritise the skills that matter most – from leadership and commercial acumen to digital fluency and operational excellence – and work with People and Business Leaders to embed them.

The Person:

* Significant experience in global organisational design, workforce planning, or strategic HR consulting within complex, multi-functional businesses.
* Strong understanding of skills and competency frameworks, functional capability models, and workforce analytics.
* Experience working across diverse functions, including Commercial, Operations, Quality, and Technology.
* Strong data interpretation skills – able to turn insights into action.
* Awareness of how emerging trends (including AI and automation) are shifting talent and capability requirements.
* Excellent facilitation and influencing skills, with the ability to guide senior leaders through change and complexity.
* Comfortable operating in dynamic, evolving environments with multiple stakeholders.
