My client is actively looking for a Contracts Manager to join their procurement team on a contract basis. Based in Dublin City Centre, hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. In this role you will be supporting the Senior Procurement Manager on commercial and procurement activity across several lines of business. The main categories of spend will include IT and Professional Services This role will focus on managing relationships with key senior stakeholders across the businesses to understand business priorities and connect procurement with business goals. The role will also require strong relationship management and negotiation with various vendors to drive strategic value, deliver exceptional customer service, cost optimisation and risk management. A high level of confidence, commercial acumen and professional competence is required. Key Purpose of the Role is to; Develop a deep understanding of the current third-party cost base and commercial landscape Build relationships and partner with key senior stakeholders and senior leaders to understand business priorities and objectives and translate these into the overall procurement strategic direction and roadmaps Ensure all goods and services supplied via the procurement team deliver service, value and cost optimisation Build strong working relationships across European and Global Procurement to ensure we leverage the power of the collective in our commercial decision making and optimising governance and processes Develop and coordinate tender processes as required Lead negotiations on supplier contracts and ensure adequate reviews are being performed Manage risk to ensure the client is protected by secure fully negotiated contracts and any known risks associated with contracts are pre-empted and responsibility for managing same is understood by contract owners. Ensures the Supplier Lifecycle is followed as per Supplier Risk Policy Duties and Responsibilities: Communication & Influencing requirement to use a wide range influencing styles effectively Commercial Awareness Ability to correctly interpret contracts and financial information and put in place controls to deal with any issues or risks Manage the negotiation and documentation of all assigned contracts Risk, Control and Regulatory Environment have a clear understanding of the significance of this role as part of the first line of defence against operational risk Teamwork & Cross Functional Collaboration exhibits and drives behaviour that facilitates cross functional collaboration and effective working teams Works effectively to build win- win relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders Operate effectively in a challenging commercial and cost management environment Providing accurate agreed reports in a timely manner Skills: Procurement Risk Vendor Management Negotiation
