The Opportunity Arup Ireland is seeking talented students to join our Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health (MEP) team in our Dublin and Cork offices for a few months.
We look for students who are ready to jump into the professional world; diverse individuals with inquisitive minds and a desire to challenge.
You will work alongside skilled professionals as part of multi-disciplinary design teams and contribute to real projects in the built environment.
You will also enjoy learning sessions with technical experts, working on local projects and social events.
Our team is involved in sectors including healthcare, science & industry, technology, commercial, education, and public buildings.
Some current projects include the New Children's Hospital, National Maternity Hospital, hyperscale data centres, Wilton Park, Bolands Quay, UCD Teaching and Learning Building, TCD E3 Learning Foundry, and Crawford Art Gallery redevelopment.
As an Electrical Engineer at Arup, you will: Work closely with and receive guidance from experienced electrical engineers and BIM technicians.Design and calculate electrical services including distribution, containment, small power, lighting & emergency lighting, fire detection and alarm systems, ICT, security, and earthing systems.Work in a BIM environment using Revit and Navisworks to prepare coordinated 3D design models.Learn and use various design software such as Revit, Amtech, Dialux, Elevate.Implement QA procedures for all deliverables and ensure H&S compliance.Liaise and collaborate effectively with staff from other disciplines.Communicate effectively within a team environment.Does this role inspire you?
