Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation and Cooking: Assist in preparing a variety of dishes, develop new recipes, and maintain high hygiene standards.
2. Kitchen Management: Support kitchen operations, oversee sections, and mentor junior staff.
3. Inventory and Stock Control: Manage stock, ensure freshness, and minimize waste.
4. Quality Control: Monitor food quality, taste, presentation, and safety standards.
5. Collaboration and Communication: Work with front-of-house and kitchen teams for smooth service.
6. Innovation and Creativity: Contribute ideas to improve menus and kitchen processes.
The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in a busy kitchen environment.
